I’ve always felt that the spirit of the holidays was meant to last longer than a few weeks on the calendar.

That feeling of warmth, celebration, beauty, gathering, sparkle and a little extra magic — why should we pack all of that away the minute December ends?

That idea is what inspired the Starry Detour Holiday Pullover.

I wanted something festive without falling into the usual holiday-sweater formula. So instead of reindeer and novelty graphics, this piece brings together distressed oatmeal-and-black vintage stripes, leopard accents, bold flowers, and shimmering gold snowflakes. It still absolutely belongs at a holiday party, Christmas dinner, or a cozy winter gathering, but it also has enough polish and personality to wear well beyond the season.

To me, that combination gives it a couture feel — playful, festive and a little unexpected, but still elegant enough to pair with jeans, leggings, a skirt, or whatever you feel fabulous in.

And then there’s the mock turtleneck.

I love the look of a higher neckline, but a full turtleneck can sometimes feel restrictive or visually overwhelm the neck. The mock neck gives you that little bit of extra warmth and that elevated, finished look without completely covering you up. It feels easy, flattering and comfortable — no accidental bobblehead situation required. 😂

This is holiday wear for someone who wants the sparkle, the warmth and the celebration, but still wants to look like herself.
